Boots On The Ground

Elected by my peers in 2025 to serve as the Chairwoman of the City of Baytown Planning and Zoning Commission, after being a Commission Member for 7 terms.  

The Commission of 7 members reviews the projects and development proposals submitted to the Planning Department and makes recommendations to City Council for final review and approval.

The Fred Aguilar Promise Center is a non-profit organization founded 25 years ago by people in the community to provide a pathway for students and families to have a healthier, more educated, and financially secure position.

The Promise Center has a volunteer Board who offers their time and talent to each program and event.  Our volunteers are amazing and often remain in touch after graduating.  The Promise Center is funded 100% by donations.

Programs include CAPE Club: for students K-5th grade with after-school activities related to art, music, reading, math, science and exercise.  Leadership Camp where career guidance is presented by developers, small business owners, City staff and School Board members. Summer camp and much more.

The annual Eastern Rim Comicon is one of the largest in Texas and is attended by about 15,000 people from all over the world.

The Promise Center plans to venture into Affordable Housing.  We welcome you to grow with us by contributing financially or as a volunteer.

CREW Network is a global organization of over 14,000 members in 80 markets that advances all women in commercial real estate through business networking, industry research, leadership development, career outreach initiatives, and scholarships.

As a member of CREW Houston's Outreach Committee, we introduce female high school students to the commercial real estate industry through CREW Careers: most recently School of the Woods, and UCREW connects female college students and entry-level career women to the resources partnering with the University of Houston and is adding Texas Southern University.  We provide support and network need to need to gain confidence and economic self-sufficiency through established, successful careers in commercial real estate.
